Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (225g)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
- 1 large egg, room temperature (50g)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (10ml)
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour (340g)
- 1 tsp baking soda (5g)
- ½ tsp salt (3g)
- 1 ½ cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (255g)
- ¼ cup powdered sugar for rolling (30g)
Instructions:
- Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together on medium-high speed until the mixture looks pale and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully emulsified and smooth.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients on low speed, mixing only until the last streak of flour disappears.
- Gently fold in the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough, roll each ball in powdered sugar, and place them 2 inches apart on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges are barely golden, then allow to cool on a wire rack.
