Description

This Cowboy Casserole is a hearty and comforting dish loaded with seasoned ground beef, creamy sauce, melted cheese, and crispy tater tots. It’s an easy, family-friendly meal perfect for busy weeknights!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups frozen tater tots

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Mix in the soup, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and half of the cheese. Stir well.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with tater tots.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes, until the tots are golden and crispy.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for another 5 minutes until melted.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
